What we collect, why, and your rights. In short: your project stays in your browser, your quotes are not kept, and we sell nothing.

1. Who we are
AgencyVerity is an online service operated by 9441-2681 Québec inc. (Québec, Canada) that helps businesses choose a web agency and understand its quotes. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the director of 9441-2681 Québec inc., reachable at contact@agencyverity.com.
2. What we collect
- Your project, agency shortlist and ticked checklists: stored only in your browser. We do not receive them.
- Your account (if you analyze a quote): your email address, creation date, analysis credits and analysis history.
- Your quotes: the text of the quote you send for analysis, and the analysis result (which quotes sentences from it).
- Review by an analyst (if you request it): an AgencyVerity analyst reads your analysis result and the quoted passages of your quote; their corrections and name are kept with the report.
- Price benchmarks (only if you tick the box): the project type and the figures of your quote (price, monthly fees, number of instalments, warranty length) and a few findings (for example: domain name in the agency’s name), with no name, no text and no link to your account. This anonymous data is used to compute benchmarks, shown only from 20 comparable quotes.
- Expiry reminders (if you turn them on): the domain name, its expiry date and registrar (from the public registry), and your e-mail address to write to you. Deleted as soon as you stop the reminders (link in every e-mail).
- Handover check (if you use it): the address of the site you have checked and the result, made of public information (domain registrar, host, home page), kept with the related analysis.
- Questions about a quote (if you ask any): your question and the answer, kept with the analysis and deleted with it. To answer, your question and the quote passages kept with the analysis are sent to our engine (OpenAI service, in the United States), without being kept by that service.
- Requests for quotes sent through AgencyVerity (if you use them): the name and e-mail of the agencies you enter, your request (project, name, company, reply date) and, if you choose, your e-mail shared with the agencies for their questions. Each agency gets a private link; its answers to the 12 points and to your questions are kept with the request, and the quote it uploads is analysed like your own quotes (full text deleted after the analysis, once its answers are compared with what the quote says). Requests are kept for 6 months. An agency can ask not to receive requests any more: only its e-mail address is then kept, to respect that choice.
- Sharing a report (if you create a link): anyone with the link can read the report and the quote passages it cites, with the name you choose to show. We count the link’s opens (number and date of the last one, without knowing who opened it). The link stops working when you stop sharing, or when the analysis is deleted.
- Independence test (no account): the site address you enter is only used to read its public information (domain registry, DNS records, home page); it is not kept. Your answers to the questions stay in your browser.
- Project follow-up (if you turn it on): the payments and the items to receive taken from the analysis, the dates you enter (signing, payments, launch) and your log. Kept while the follow-up exists, at most 3 years after signing; deleted if you delete the follow-up or the analysis. Reminders go to your e-mail; every reminder lets you stop them.
- Your payments: handled by Stripe. We never see your card number; we receive the amount, date and status of the payment.
- Agencies that sign up: the information given in the form, including contact details of client references the agency sends us with their consent.
- Technical data: our host keeps usual logs (IP address, date, page requested). To limit abuse, we keep a non-reversible fingerprint of the IP address.
- Anonymous audience measurement: for each page viewed, we count the page, the day, the language, the kind of device (phone or computer) and where the visit came from (referring site name or campaign tag). No cookie, nothing kept in your browser, and these counters hold no IP address and no identifier: they cannot recognise you. Private-link pages are counted without their link.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for (quote analysis, account, directory).
- To prevent abuse, for example using several accounts to get several free analyses.
- To bill and meet our tax obligations.
- To email you about your account (sign-in code, receipt). We do not send advertising without your consent.
4. Who we share it with, and where
We sell no personal information. We use four providers, who process data on our behalf, partly outside Québec (notably in the United States):
- Cloudflare (website hosting and database);
- Resend (sending sign-in emails);
- OpenAI (analysis of quote text): your text is sent for the analysis only. We ask that it not be stored for reuse; OpenAI states it does not use API data to train its models and may keep it up to 30 days to detect abuse;
- Stripe (payment).
Before submitting a quote, you can hide information that is not needed (people’s names, addresses, phone numbers).
5. How long we keep it
- Full quote text: deleted as soon as the analysis ends.
- Analysis result: 90 days, then deleted automatically. You can delete it sooner.
- Project follow-up: until you delete it, at most 3 years after signing.
- Account: until you ask for it to be deleted.
- Payment information: 6 years, as tax rules require.
- IP fingerprints: 30 days.
6. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to our admin tools is limited and protected. No system is perfectly safe: if a privacy incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access your information, correct it, delete it, receive it in a common format, or withdraw your consent, by writing to contact@agencyverity.com. We answer within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
8. Cookies
We use no advertising cookies and no audience measurement cookies: visits are counted anonymously, without cookies (see section 2). If you sign in, a single essential cookie keeps your session open.
9. Changes
We will publish any change to this policy here, with its date. For significant changes, we will let you know by email.
